Price changes on 1-1-09

First off, I would like to thank each and everyone of you who have made 2008 a success. Without you, I would not be doing this!! I have made many new friends along the way. This has been a journey of learning, trial and error, and fixing a lot of mistakes, lol. I also would like to thank you for allowing me to photograph your babies/children and watching them grow!!
With that said, I have to unfortunately increase some of my prices. I am not looking to rip off anyone or get rich in this process. My reasoning for increasing prices include time away from my family as I stay on the computer to edit each and every picture I put on the Internet and proof book. Honestly, I make about $10-15 dollars for every session that takes at least an hour of taking pictures. The work really begins after the session is over. I then have to download pictures, go through each and every picture, choose them, edit them, download them on the Internet, and then finally order the proof books. It usually takes me a good 3-4 hours to do on whole session. I feel like $10-15 dollars for all of that is nothing.


Also starting this year, I will be off on Sundays and Mondays to spend time with my family. If you already have an appointment scheduled on those days...you will still have that appointment. For those of you who really need a Sunday, I could check with my sister-in-law for those days if you are interested.

$30.00 full session (1 hour of picture taking)

Halloween special

Well,
We made it through the last two hurricanes with minimal damage. Halloween is quickly approaching, and I am in the process of getting all of my props in order so we could start taking Halloween pictures. This will be a three week special starting on September 30th - October 21st. There will be no sitting fee and a $30.00 minimum order. It will be $10.00 per sheet. The sheets will consist of:
1 8 x 10
2 5 x 7 's
4 4 x 6's
8 wallets
There is no limit to the poses you pick. If you are interested in making an appointment, please call 985-226-9036/ 985-532-9035.
I will try to have two different themes set up one will be a fall like scene and the other a Halloween scene. Now with that said, if you would like to take additional pictures without a Fall/Halloween theme, you will be charged the usual $35.00 sitting fee with a proof book. The special will not include the proof book unless requested, and the charge for the book will be $25.00 for up to 42 pictures ( 7 pages with 6 pictures per page).

New mommy calling cards (business card size)

Hi everyone,
Well, we made it back from our Disney cruise on August 3rd. It was a vacation that I will never forget!! Austin was so excited, and I truly thank God that Grant A Wish sent us there. Anyway, we made it home to the reality of working, school, speech therapy, football practice, and lots of bills piling up on the table, lol.
I have been researching different things on the Internet that I could incorporate into photography, and I think I found it!!!
It is called "Mommy Cards!" I have never heard of it so I was intrigued. It is basically a card with your name, phone number, email address, etc. The best part is your beautiful child(ren) picture is on it. I have been trying to create different patterns to choose from. I can custom make anything that you would like on it (design, artwork, whatever). I haven't come up with a price yet. I am pricing it on the Internet to see how much it would cost me. If anyone is interested, just let me know via email or phone.
I will post a few on here and some are already on my websites homepage at the bottom.
I would like to thank everyone who has given us the opportunity to photograph your children/family. I don't consider myself a professional photographer at this point. I do however, would like to continue to pursue this venture in photography. I am loving every minute of it

Unexpected Moments Website

I have a few new props

I just wanted to update a few things since my last post. Plans have changed since I last posted. I will not be going out of town this week. We are definitely leaving on July 31st for our Disney Cruise, yeah!!
I have just purchased a newborn tutu....it is adorable. It is adjustable up to 6-9 months. I will attach a picture of it with this blog.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!! Well, tomorrow is the big day....14 years of marriage. Jason is offshore so we can't celebrate until he comes home on Sunday. Oh well, such is life.

Upcoming trip

As most of you know, we will be going on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas on July 31st- August 5th. My son Austin, who is turning 4 on the cruise, has a genetic disorder called Prader-Willi Syndrome. This is a life-threatening disorder with no cure. We will be going on the cruise thanks to Grant-A-Wish Foundation (Troop C). So if anyone is interested in taking pictures before school starts, please call or email us.

new blog site

Hi,
My name is Rebecca Loupe from Lockport, La. I recently started my venture in photography. So far, I am learning new techniques and getting a few more props. I have a passion for taking pictures.... okay more like an obsession!!
I am loving to meet new people and especially working with your little ones. It is so fun to make them smile or at least try too, lol.
My sister-in-law, Jessica Ledet is helping me for now. She will eventually take her course in photography and purchase her own camera so we will have more slots available for our customers in the next year or so. We are doing really well with this business. I am loving every minute of it from taking the pictures, to creating custom collages, and espeically working on b/w color editing, etc.
I will keep everyone updated on our specials or anything else that will be coming up in the near future. Again, I would like to thank you for all who are supporting me and this business.
